Create a new file with transparency

1. Create a new file
To create a new file, go to "File > New."

2. Select a transparent background
In the "New Image" dialogue box, make sure that "Rastor Background" and "Transparent" are selected. Click "OK."

3. Create your image
Now you're ready to create a new image or add text to your file. You can also copy and paste an image from Illustrator or from another image file.
